Stay tuned for information on concerts. Also get on our Sturgis 2013 Facebook page and you’ll find more updates.

If you want to camp where the concerts are then you can’t do better than The Buffalo Chip Campground. If you wand shade and a party atmosphere check out Glencoe Campground. If you want a pool and concerts and don’t mind a lack of shade than The Broken Spoke Campground is good. There are also many other campgrounds all around Sturgis and the Black Hills area. Most offer more quiet then those directly in Sturgis. Rapid City is also an alternative to staying in Sturgis as there are more hotels and family friendly camping. However Rapid City is a 60 minute drive to Sturgis. Deadwood is another great place to have a hotel as it is close to Sturgis yet has its own personality.

i usually go the week before, it’s cheaper and there is still lots to see, with less traffic, etc. i usually stay around deadwood, it’s quieter and still there is lots to do. check out salloon 10 and majestic star right next to each other. Otherwise it’s all a great time, been there 8 times.

you can stay at the bear butte lodge located north of sturgis, it is owned by the rosebud sioux tribe and it is very cheap…you have to book early…contact person is Corey Hairy Shirt 605-407-2834 or look on their website under bear butte lodge.
Hope this info helps you and your husband in the most exciting eventful experience at the sturgis rally 2013

If you stay in or around Sturgis, you had better like the sound of a V-Twin, because it never, I mean never stops 24 hrs a day. But hey, it’s only for a week and it is such a pretty sound, it just gets really old when you’re trying to get some long earned sleep and some guy is doing a burn out next to your tent. Staying hotels are expensive and if you’re lucky you know someone that knows someone for a hook up for a place to stay. I personally stay down by Hermosa south of Rapid City. It’s 50 miles from Sturgis, but it is in the middle of some of the best riding areas and that’s the best part of Sturgis, the riding. The country was made for a Harley, riding through the hills smelling the pine in the air, heaven on earth. Good luck with your trip.
